The 10 Required Hours - Bridging the Gap
Let Safe Pass take the wheel with your teen from the very start!
We require that our Teen Driver Education students have at least 10 hours behind the wheel on the road with a licensed driver before beginning to work with their Driving Instructor on the required 8 hours of behind the wheel driving instruction.
That can be a lot for some students and their families to handle.
And we're happy to help!
This course covers those 10 hours, working with your teen from square one to build the necessary foundation from where true driver education can begin.
You'll also notice that experience when they get in the car with you to complete the rest of the time required with the adults in their lives (50 hours total, and the 10 from this course count toward that 50).
More experience. Less anxiety. More of the memory of passing on a skill rather than the memory yelling, nerves, and near misses.
Please note: to be eligible for this course, the student must currently be enrolled in one of our teen driver education courses. These 10 hours do not count toward the required 8 hours of behind the wheel time with a Driving Instructor necessary to fulfill all teen driver education requirements. Those 8 hours (included with the teen driver education course for which the student is already registered) will begin once the 10 hours of this course have concluded.
